Picasso sculpture
“We made a detour to see the Picasso sculpture. For our group of four people Kristinehamn as an unknown chapter. The car journey from the centre to the Picasso sculpture was a real highlight. What a fantastically beautiful Vänern bay with so many lovely residential areas!” If you don’t have use of a car you can travel by electric bike, tandem bike or ordinary bike. For your convenience a coach service operates every weekday from the railway station at 18.35 and 20.00 to the sculpture. Book the coach on tel: +46 (0)771-32 32 00, no later than one hour before departure..		     

 

Island hopping on Lake Vänern
Go island hopping in the Lake Vänern archipelago in Värmland! You can go on expeditions, go swimming in the lake, have a barbecue or go camping and then take the boat back or move on to another island. In Saxån you will find perhaps the most scenic golf course in Sweden. The course comprises undulating forest and parkland. The home improvement show Sommartorpet,

Dont miss! Klinten, Storhöjden Filipstad author and artist Karin Fryxell’s (1911-2003) beautifully located summer cottage. Memorial programme. The trolls Sotlugg and Linlugg, the chapel with handpainted church windows and a number of Karin’s own paintings are on show. Karin Fryxell’s niece Ann-Mari Appelberg and her family are the current owners and caretakers of Klinten.
