For those of you wishing to explore Inlandsbanan on your own we offer a package that includes accommodation in hotels of your choice along Inlandsbanan – we take care of the bookings. The rest is up to you. Perhaps it will be the children’s most exciting holiday trip so far, or maybe you will discover it together with an old friend, a real adventure for all ages. Perhaps you will take the opportunity to realise your dream of hiking through the magnificent mountain landscape now that your Inlandsbanan card is also valid on the mountain buses. Regardless of what you do or what detours you make, even if you have been carrying your tent in your rucksack, it is always a pleasure to return to a shower, a comfortable bed and a hotel breakfast.

Put together your own package!
“Your own favourites” is a package tour that allows you stay comfortably in hotels whilst planning your own itinerary and choosing your preferred destinations. You can choose to spend consecutive nights in hotels or you could break up your holiday with mountain hiking or visits to friends and family or other activities that involve a different type of accommodation. You can then return to Inlandsbanan and continue your train journey. You have two glorious weeks ahead of you from the day the package starts. Be inspired and get ideas by looking here about the municipalities along the railway, as well as the timetable for up-to-date train times. Visit our website and click on the links to the various tourist information offices along the route, which will be able to tell you what each destination has to offer, as well as provide suggestions for activities, sights and accommodation.

Examples
Below are some examples of some more popular travel combinations. But these are just a small selection and obviously you can create your own combinations according to your own tastes.

Inlandsbanan express:
For those of you who want to experience all of Inlandsbanan but perhaps have only a few days to spare, it is possible to travel Kristinehamn–Gällivare tour and retour with just three overnight stays. The first night is spent in Östersund, the second in Gällivare and the third and last one in Östersund, again. You can also arrange your own return journey or contact our booking office.

Inlandsbanan family:
There are quite a few family attractions and activities along Inlandsbanan. Let’s assume you want your journey to include five overnight stays. Start off in Mora with a visit to Tomteland, continue towards Orsa
Grönklitt and visit the Bear Park and Predator Centre. Then onwards towards Svenstavik where you can try to catch a glimpse of the Lake Storsjö Monster and spend the night in Östersund, where there are so
many things on offer for families that we recommend spending two nights. Further north you might be interested in fishing or cycling in the Hemavan mountains?

Inlandsbanan hike:
Discover the mountains with Inlandsbanan! Your Inlandsbanan Card entitles you to free travel on the regional buses towards the mountains, all the way from Mora–Grövelsjön up to Gällivare–Laponia, making it
perfect for combining with a hike. Start the trip with Inlandsbanan and an overnight stay, perhaps in Kristinehamn, and travel northwards. Choose a mountain destination which you can reach by bus. Go hiking
for a few days or a week and then return to Inlandsbanan and continue your trip with an overnight stay. It is entirely possible to put a package tour on hold for a few days and then return to Inlandsbanan. Your
Inlandsbanan Card is valid for 14 days and can be extended for a further week for SEK 400 kr.

Inlandsbanan Supreme:
For those of you who want to discover all of Inlandsbanan and who have plenty of time, we can create a package of as many days as you would like! Your own favourites can also be combined with Hurtigruten

• Steam train in Arvidsjaur SEK 150 per person, Fridays and Saturdays (12/7-10/8).
• Cancellation insurance SEK 200
