All aboard for a trip down memory lane
IN ARVIDSJAUR you can take a trip on a real steam train. You are taken back in time to the 1930s and an era of faith in the future, revolutionary speed and pioneering travel. Enjoy an evening in the Midnight Sun and watch the drama of the wilderness unfold outside your window.
The train includes a restaurant car. The train stops at Storavan bay where the more adventurous can swim in the lake. The train is operated by the rail association Arvidsjaur Järnvägsförening.
Price: SEK 200 per person (SEK 150 for those with an Inlandsbanan Card). Children up their 16th birthday travel free. Departs Arvidsjaur: 17.45. Stopping at Slagnäs, Storavan beach for swimming and barbecue. Arrives Arvidsjaur: approx 22.00.
