| In western Dalarna the beautiful river Västerdalälven cuts through a landscape where land that has been cultivated since the Stone Age is interspersed with modern industrial areas and old foundry communities. Fertile soils, glittering waters and adorable greenery are characteristic of the area. The municipality comprises four communities along the river; Vansbro, Dala-Järna, Nås and Äppelbo. In the southern parts of the municipality is Finnmarken with its riveting history. | |
