Have an adventure
It is easy to be active here. Hire a bike from the tourist information office and cycle out to Frösön – a cultural gold mine with wonderful views of the area around Lake Storsjön and home to some of our main sights, such as composer Wilhelm Peterson-Berger’s Sommarhagen, Frösö Church and Frösö Zoo. Children will enjoy the adventure swimming pool Storsjöbadet or the challenges on offer at Djungelhuset and Multi Challenge. Visit Moose Garden for a chance to stroke a real, live moose – a really memorable experience!










 



Excursions in time and space
At Jamtli history comes alive. Young and old alike appreciate the time travel walks among the farms and exhibitions, where actors recreate bygone eras. Optand Teknikland is a retro-technical world of vintage cars, aeroplanes and military history, and at Geohuset in Ångsta you can learn more about the earliest history of earth and how a meteorite fell to earth here 455 million years age. Lake Storsjön is best explored from the deck of the S/S Thomée, the oldest steamship in Sweden still operating a regular service. Don’t forget to keep a look out for the Storsjö Monster.
